This new, 3-day format for the popular portrait workshop with Joyce Wilson will allow participants to work with studio lighting techniques along with hands-on assignments photographing models using window light and the beautiful, environmental settings at the Brooks Montecito campus.
Students will also have the opportunity to follow along in Photoshop with simple retouching, cropping and enhancement techniques to create artistic interpretations of their favorite images.
About the Instructor Joyce Wilson is a photographer extraordinaire. She established herself in the portrait/commercial world more than 40 years ago. During the last 25 years she has been exploring the world of fine art through personal projects and teaching creative workshops. She is renowned for her trademark images depicting mythology and the spirituality of the human form. Wilson’s work is represented through art galleries, featured in solo and group exhibitions, and part of the permanent collection at the International Photography Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, OK. Recommended Experience From Beginers to Advanced can take this class and gain a lot. This workshop is digital only. Students are required to supply their own digital camera and removable media, such as flash or zip drives. A laptop is optional, but also recommended.
