Photoshop
During two full-day sessions, students will learn how to navigate Adobe Photoshop from making color adjustments to streamlining digital workflow. This course explores tools, palettes, drop down menus, and quick key options and also provides more in-depth discussion about a digital image’s basic components and how to apply image tonality and color adjustments. You will also learn to open existing image files, create new image files, and to size and save images for print or for internet output.
Day two is dedicated to hands-on exercises for developing an efficient digital workflow, including taking an image from its raw form, sizing, cleaning, retouching, color correcting, sharpening, printing, and sharing the image via email attachment or internet upload.
About the Instructor
Christy Schuler is a freelance photographer/retoucher who also teaches at Brooks Institute. She has worked as a digital artist for clients such as Nike, Crest, Cover Girl, MAC Cosmetics, in addition to producing numerous music videos and feature films. Schuler is currently designing the digital curriculum for the lower division photography courses at Brooks Institute.
